Camp Babcock Hovey is one of the 3 camps owned by Seneca Waterways Council. Located on Seneca Lake in Ovid, NY, just south of Geneva in the heart of the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. It is a great location for summer camp, off season camping and camporees. Hovey puts on summer camps for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts where they are not just earning merit badges but showing the scouts all the fun that camp has to offer.
Hovey is set on 283 acres with facilities including cabins, tent sites and lean-tos. One of their newest buildings, Eagle Lodge, has a kitchen, bunk rooms, bathrooms and a conference room, great for year round activities. Waterfront options cater to all age ranges and level of scout and include a large man-made pond, swimming pool and lakefront on Seneca Lake, one of the largest Finger Lakes. The lakefront offers activities including; swimming, boating, motorboating, kayaking, sailing and more.
