High Tor Wildlife Management Area, managed by the NYS DEC, a 6,800 acre area in the Naples area on the south end of Canandaigua Lake. High Tor consists of everything from wetlands to cliffs, waterfalls, gullies, wooded areas and a gorge. Various activities are permitted within High Tor; Hunting, Trapping, Fishing, Hiking and Wildlife Viewing. The hiking trails vary from moderate to strenuous.
Camping in general is not permitted on the property but there are two lean-to sites that are available for the use of youth groups, like scouts, for free. One of the lean-to sites has a spectacular view of the valley and Canandaigua Lake.
