Mendon Ponds Park a 2,500 acre Monroe County Park. Rich in geologic history it is a great escape in the Rochester area. The park has various shelters and lodges available for rent. Activities include Biking, Birdwatching, Boating, Camping (For scout/youth groups and by reservation only), Cross-Country Skiing, Fishing, Geo-caching, Hiking/Running, Horseback Riding, Kayaking/Canoeing, Multi-use Athletic Field, Orienteering, Playground, Rugby, Sensory Garden, Sledding, Snowshoeing and more…..
Located within Mendon Ponds is Wild Wings, a non profit organization that cares for injured birds of prey. They offer educational programs/ demonstrations for groups and families. More information can be found at the Wild Wings Website.
